During the week of October 24-27, from 6-8:00 pm, the Wyoming Entrepreneur – Small Business Development Center, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Casper Area Chamber of Commerce will be sponsoring a basic bookkeeping course for small businesses. The course will be taught in four evening sessions. The first session will cover Basic Bookkeeping Functions and Essential Records. The second sesion will cover Income & Expenses, Cash vs. Accrual Accounting, and Sales Tax. The third evening will cover Financial Statements and Tax Reporting, and the final session on Thursday will cover Payroll. The class will be held in the SBDC Conference Room, 300 S. Wolcott, Ste. 300. Registration fee for the 4-class series is $120. Mary Janousek of Porter, Muirhead, Cornia & Howard will teach the course. Mary has an Associate’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She enjoys combining her love for bookkeeping and accounting with her passion to teach. Professionally, she is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and provides a full range of bookkeeping and accounting services to businesses in all types of industries.
