The federal government sets aside more than $2 Billion annually to fund the early-stage development of new high-tech ideas being pursued by the nation’s innovative small firms. The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Programs are focused on funding high-risk, high-payoff projects that have significant commercial potential. Wyoming small businesses have a large number of resources available to them to help them take advantage of these Federal research dollars. This webinar will provide an overview of these resources including recorded webinars, upcoming workshops, organizations within the state to help in all the phases of the application process and introduce you to the people who are willing and able to help.
Speaker(s): Kelly Haigler Cornish is the Program Manager at Wyoming SBIR/STTR Initiative (WSSI) and business counselor in the Wyoming SBDC Network. Kelly has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master’s of Public Administration. Prior to working at WSSI, Kelly worked in the Wyoming Research Products Center and was an advisor in the College of Business.
