Start Your Own Business - Lovell

Entrepreneurs looking to start their own business can learn about everything that is required during an upcoming Start Your Own Business Workshop in Lovell. Presented by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, Lovell Inc., the Lovell Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Small Business Administration, this no-cost training will provide a basic overview of starting a business in our state. The workshop will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 6 to 8 pm at Big Horn Federal Savings on 8 East Main Street. Explore the pros and cons of owning a business and evaluate the skills and knowledge necessary for success. This workshop will cover numerous topics such as: • testing the feasibility of your business idea • identifying your target market • financing options • creating a business plan • and more

Speaker(s): The workshop will be presented by Bruce Morse, Wyoming SBDC Network regional director for northwest Wyoming. Prior to joining the Wyoming SBDC Network in 2006, Morse served in various positions in the banking industry for over 22 years. He holds a BS degree in Finance from Montana State University – Bozeman. He is a graduate of the ABA Commercial Lending School, is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP), a Level 1 certified Family Business Advisor, and a GrowthWheel Certified Business Advisor. Morse’s areas of specialization include financial analysis and loan application review. He was part of a team that investigated, launched and implemented the Financial Health Check-up program and he leads the Profit Mastery team.
