Entrepreneurs looking to start their own business can learn about everything that is required during an upcoming Start Your Own Business Workshop in Cheyenne. Presented by the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, this no-cost training will provide a basic overview of starting a business in our state. The workshop will take place on Oct 25 from 6-7:30 pm at the Laramie County Public Library. Explore the pros and cons of owning a business and evaluate the skills and knowledge necessary for success. This workshop will cover numerous topics such as: • testing the feasibility of your business idea • identifying your target market • financing options • creating a business plan • and more This is designed to be an interactive program, so bring your questions. This program is free-of-charge for Wyoming residents.

Speaker(s): The workshop will be presented by local business advisor and Wyoming SBDC Network Regional Director John Privette. His work experience spans the mining, manufacturing, information, financial, and retail industry sectors. He has held corporate management positions in product development and international marketing and managed foreign operations offices. John has been a Series 7 qualified general securities representative and a small business owner in information technology and retail start-up companies. He holds a B. S. Geology degree from Appalachian State University and a M.S. Business degree from Colorado State University. John holds the National Association of Small Business International Trade Educators (NASBITE) Certified Global Business Professional™ certification and is a certified trainer with Profit Mastery™, Growth Wheel™, and Economic Gardening™.
