SBIR/STTR Proposal Workshop Day 1

Do you have an idea for an innovation and need money to complete the research and development? If yes, then this two-day workshop is for you. Did I mention you get sample proposals? Yet another reason to learn how to get up to $1.5 million in seed funding without any equity dilution. Day 1 – In the first day, you will learn about • Agency types and missions • Grants vs. contracts and why it matters • The SBIR and STTR funding landscape • Project phases, topics, assistance, references, and tools. This interactive tutorial details a four-step process for developing a competitive Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase I proposal to any participating federal agency, and is suitable for small firms at any level, and state/regional service providers who need SBIR and STTR expertise. Speaker(s): Jim Greenwood and his wife, Gail, have been involved in the SBIR program since its inception in 1983. The Greenwoods have taught SBIR/STTR workshops in 48 states plus Puerto Rico and Washington D.C., offering training through local and regional economic development groups, universities, federal laboratories, SBDCs, and MEPs. The Greenwoods also have taught at many of the National SBIR Conferences in the past decade, including the most recent national conferences in New Orleans, Portland, Washington DC and Austin. They are recipients of the coveted Tibbetts Award, based on their contributions to SBIR/STTR outreach and education efforts, and were recognized by the Small Business Technology Council as “Champions for Small Business” for their outreach efforts during the latest SBIR/STTR programs reauthorization effort.
