Topic: Managing a Business

With the holiday season fast approaching, whether you are a brick and mortar store, an online business or a service business, customer service will be a major contributor to client loyalty at a time when your staff is stressed due to the demands of the holiday season. The fundamental purpose of a business is to get and keep customers. They need to feel welcomed, important, respected and appreciated. Satisfied customers become loyal, repeat customers. Repeat buyers often become advocates for your establishment, creating word of mouth advertising. A customer-focused company has reduced employee turnover. If these advantages of improved customer service appeal to you, sign-up and learn more from Hannah Swanbon. Hannah is a Community Development Educator for the University of Wyoming Extension Agency. She provides good customer service and prefers to receive the same from the businesses she frequents. Reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities will be made, if requested at least 2 weeks in advance. The Wyoming Small Business Development Center Network is a business advising group, consisting of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Procurement Technical Assistance Center, Market Research Center, and SBIR/STTR Initiative. Our mission is to help Wyoming entrepreneurs succeed. Advising and most market research services are free of charge to Wyoming residents. The SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. Additional support is provided by the Wyoming Business Council, and the University of Wyoming.
