Topic: Managing Employees

If your business has employees, you need to understand the ramifications of new rules that take effect soon. The Department of Labor (DOL) continues its crackdown against employers for improper classification of workers as exempt when the employee is actually non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Beginning December 1st there is a significant change to classifying employees. The difference between Exempt and Non-Exempt is fuzzy at best for most people. The Department of Labor has made Employee Misclassification their number one priority in enforcement but the risk to employers also exists from possible employee litigation. This webinar will concentrate on the various tests the DOL will use to determine status and we will answer the most common questions that trip up even the most seasoned professional.
